Mr. John Rys Eddins:
Read your reply to another disatisfied customer. I am another! My 2006 Jeep Liberty had a break issue. Car made a moan-like sould when car is first started cold during light or nor brake application. The sound is very loud.
Brought car in under warrenty at 25,749 miles.. 7/14/08.Rears were 20-30% had pads replaced, machined rear rotors and serviced parking brake system: Cost $276.00
After service car made an extremely loud moaning grating sound when cold....got worse took back to your shop with complaint on 11/28/08 at 28,576 miles. They said they inspected rear brakes. 80-90% remaining. Pads and rotors now slightly glazed. They heard noise when we picked it up but said that noise was normal? and not to worry???
Noise continued to get worse...called and spoke to Rick service manager....no help.
Returned car on 3/9/09, same complaint...now noise is really bad. They inspected the brakes and said that the pads and drums were completley gone. and wanted to charge for replacement of drums an additional $303.00
My argument. That the pads failed because of defect or improper installation and that caused the drums or rotors to fail. This service manager, Will, did not seem to accept the logic that the pad failure caused the drum failure. After 4 phone calls he agreed to send the pad back to the manufacturer and replace them at no charge. However, the Rotors were at our cost at $303.00 because they should have been replaced in July at first service. neglecting the fact that the rotors were ok at that time and the mechanic machined them....How can this be my fault: He said that if I didn't pay for the rotors it would come out of his pocket. HELLO! Are you people in business or not?
I called a different Chrysler jeep dealer and they gave me a copy of Technical service bulletins 05-004-06 dated July, 19 2006 and Bulletin 05-004-06 Rev A dated September 8, 2006 that applied to Liberty/Cherokee 2003-2006 models for the condition of a rear brake moan like sound....my original complaint.... and attached to this a detailed instruction sheet on how to fix the problem. Both bulletins were issued BEFORE WE BROUGHT THE CAR IN. If you people were on top of things in your service dept my problem would have been taken care of in July, 2007 one year after Chrysler notified you of the problem. Do you require that the service dept reads technical bulletins or do you just fly by the seat of your pants?
So explain to me how your dealership ... a family owned...business allows this behavior????? If I pay for the new rotors I will see all of you in the Van Nuys Small Claims Court unless you can defend this action by your dealership
Pros:
Cons: unethical do not stand behind repair work
Bait and Switch

The service department gets you in the door by offering one price, then switching to twice as much. They claimed they didn't know "who would've quoted that price because (they) don't work at that rate," but AFTERWARDS I called from my roommate's phone to ask how much the service was and they quoted the same price I was told originally, calling it a "coupon price." Obvious bait and switch, tell about the coupon price on the phone (they quoted it as the regular price initially), then claim ignorance when the customer shows up. I got out of there. This place has a "D" rating with the better bussiness bureau, mainly for contract disputes. The owner, or one of the upper managers I spoke with, and who inspired me to write this review, said, "We don't like to serve customers that will write reviews on the internet." This tells it all; They don't want word of mouth about their service. They could have made thousands off me legitimately but instead tried to nickle and dime me at the start. I would not recommend this dealership.
Pros: It's in the Valley. Sounds nice on the phone.
Cons: Rude Owner, came out quickly

I took my car in to this dealership for it's 60,000 mile service. Not only are they rude, but they over charged me by $300 for the service. I called around to their competitors after paying them $838 for the service......
Cerritos Dodge (818) 787-0800 $595......
Reseda Dodge (818) 345-4001 $459......
Dependable Dodge (818) 883-9060 $550......
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE THIEVES !!!
I called the service manager to discuss this and he laughed at me and told me he didn't care if he lost my business.

I bought a new Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo at Big Valley Dodge Subaru in 2004. I love the car today just as much as I did when I drove it off their lot in 2004 !!! Sure the salesmen may have been what you call "high pressure salesmen" but their just trying to make a living and it is their job. They were doing their sales pitch on me showing me all these preowned nice cars but it just wasn't what I wanted until I saw my beautiful WRX ! It took an hour or so to do all the paper work but taht's normal; there's a lot of requirements in buying a car and they made sure that all was covered. To me the employees at Big Valley Dodge Subaru were real people , no gimikes. Thank you Big Valley Dodge Subaru for the coolist car I could have ever asked for.
Pros: Great car selection
Cons: Staff could use a new wardrobe......ha, just kidding.
