Opened in 1999, we created a restaurant with food, service and space that is loyal to India, but is inviting and satisfying to Californians. Our menu which is based on the cuisine of northern India has tempting choices with everything from chicken, seafood and lamb to tandoori specialties and vegetarian dishes. We can do spicy on request, but generally our food is lightly seasoned with flavors that appeal to all. For dessert, we offer homemade ice creams with flavors like pistachio and mango. Our service is traditional but in a relaxed style and our atmosphere is warm and friendly.
We hope to see you soon!
Tips
- When to Go
Take advantage of the fixed-price lunch buffet weekdays from 11am to 2:30pm. It's available on weekends from 11:30am to 3pm for slightly more, but includes a glass of champagne.

Worst service I've ever experienced from a "good" restaurant in 30 years

My wife and I hadn't visited Jaipur in several years. Boy did we make a mistake. My wife's entree was served a full 10 minutes after mine (that's not an exaggeration - as hard as it is to imagine). When it arrived, there were no apologies or excuses. The waiter later claimed the cause was a substitute chef, but since the quality of the food was still good, I suspect it's a management problem. Other than the late entree (and a mistake in the order),the service was nearly nonexistent and the meal was ruined. They didn't even give me a receipt for my credit card payment until I brought it to their attention. This is the first time in my life I was so disguted that I didn't tip, and I'll never go back. It qualifies as the worst experience I've had in a LA restaurant in a long time. Good food and reasonable prices are nice, but service this bad will ruin any meal. Hopefully they will wake up!
Pros: good food, reasonable prices
Cons: service so bad it will destroy any meal

Excellent flavors! I had a chicken and a shrimp curry. Aromatic and delicious. I could taste the spices very well. Definately will return. I ordered take out. Restaurant seems pleasant and clean inside. I would give them 5 stars except the parking is a bit difficult. Will have to valet or park at the near by mall.
Pros: Food was great
Cons: parking
Wretched customer service

I used to be a loyal Jaipur customer despite the fact that the food was consistently way too spicy (and I consistently asked them to make my aloo gobi mild). That changed when the rude service on the phone (I only ever got delivery) trumped the merits of the cuisine. Customer service is abysmal though the food is not as greasy as many Indian places.
Pros: good food but overly spicey
Cons: rude customer service

our waiter was non-existant, most of the serving was done by an overworked bus boy.
the rice pilauw was wet and sloppy with fruit from a del monte can.
the sag paneer (spinach and cheese) was ok, but seriously lacking salt.
the rogan josh (lamb curry) was nothing great, but the most decent dish on my table.
we had to wait 45 minutes for our chai and naan to arrive, actually, our server didn't really listen to what we ordered so we had to re-order, which is a chore.
go to india's oven on westwood instead, it's around the corner, MUCH tastier, cheaper and the service is impeccable.
Tasteful, elegant and great food too!

I simply loved this place, it's tastefully decorated, very romantic and the food is good too! Lots of variety to choose from, so it can accomodate even the most discerning tastes. I really enjoyed the service too, the waiters are very patient and willing to give pointers. All in all a very pleasant dining experience.
