mfac-gallery's Bio
Frank Young graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with a Bachelor degree in Health Science. Frank has worked in various industries, including workplace risk management for an insurance company. Frank’s passion for drawing and painting never ceased. However, when an opportunity to work as a portrait and caricature artist at Disneyland Theme Park arose, he jumped at the chance. This work at Disney paved the way for focusing on his artistic talent. It brought Frank towards his first love of art and thus began his artistic career. Frank’s work has evolved from tight, realistic representations to a loose, semi-abstract, impressionistic style. His brush strokes range from strong, decisive color to a pattern of small strokes that, at close range, resemble a tapestry of colors that somehow mix on their own. Frank’s unique approach to his oil paintings has resulted in increasing sales of his art works either on line, or through local gallery representations. It also has made him a consistent award winner at art shows, and a popular demonstrator for art clubs.
About the Artist: Frank Yang has been painting since childhood and his college days (1980s’). After earning a BS degreed from Cal-State University in Health Science, He has been working in various industries. Not until recently he renews his passion for art, and has evolved from a tight, realistic style of painting to a semi-abstract, impressionistic style. He is currently accepting commissions for varieties of subject matter.
