BriXton South Bay in Redondo Beach combines live entertainment, strong drinks and a dance floor for great nights filled with super hype and rock-n-roll beats. Over at Hemingway’s in Hollywood the vibe is bohemian cool and the décor offers guests a glimpse into eras past. This hidden treasure is tucked away in a restored historic building across from Fredrick’s of Hollywood. The walls are filled with bookshelves, art, antique typewriters and beautiful columns in a romantic dimly lit setting. The chic vibe, beer and signature cocktails make this spot a great escape from the busy world right outside.
The official name is BriXton south bay; the capital “X” signifies that “X” marks the spot for South Bay live music. The 450-capacity nightclub has been a hotspot since its summer 2008 opening, with a steady flow of national and international touring bands and good L.A. bands as openers. These bands span several genres—rock, classic rock, alt rock, punk and reggae—with several concerts most weeks.
L.A. is a moveable feast in its own right with a buffet of lounges, bars and bistros lacing the city, from neighborhood to neighborhood, in a colorful collage of chic. Add to this the newest scene spot to hit Hollywood, Hemingway’s, and you accent the palate with a smidgeon of bohemia.
